Exactly! It just reminds people about the separation of church and state. No Muslim is harmed by this law; in fact, it guarantees that they are sheltered by American laws, rather than threatened by Sharia law.

Because it specifies Sharia Law, which is a law based on the religion of Islam.
Singling out a particular religion violates the establishment clause of the First Amendment.

How would you feel if "Ten Commandments" replaced "Sharia Law"? Would you feel any different?

It didn't single out Islam; it mentioned Sharia Law, which is technically "international law."
Do you disagree that this law actually protects Muslims in this country from being unfairly prosecuted according to laws to which they may not want to be held accountable?
Did it ever occur to you that if courts allowed Sharia law to be used, that Muslims who fled their countries to escape Sharia law could then be unjustly persecuted in the United States?

Absolutely not. If I'm tried for a crime or someone I love is tried for a crime, I want black and white federal and state laws determining my fate; not arbitrary religious opinions and principles.
