You know, churches have been not built in this country too for various reasons. It's not always about freedom of religion

Not liking a mosque or a church can be a valid reason. For example there is a Mosque that was built in Michigan that planned to have a loud speaker blast an Islamic call to prayher 5 times a day beginning early in the morning. Many citizens opposed it on that reason only, which is valid. Here they don't allow churches in certain areas due to increased traffic or noise
If a mosque is going to do that,then I would not want one in my area either.
If a church was ringing a loud bell 5 times a day I would not want that either

But Praximus, those are valid reasons that every business or home has to go through in order to get city approval, and it has nothing to do with WHAT RELIGION they are. This just doesn't compare to what's happening in New York City.

Yeah, I figured. But this isn't a zoning problem in NYC and it's not local residents opposing because of traffic, noise, or logistical problems. If this were a Baptist church, not a word would be said.
