I allow my sheets to air out for a couple of hours before making the beds in the morning. I can't imagine making a bed when you first get up. The sheets are still warm and they need to air out!! I like fresh sheets!

Have all decorative pillows in the guest bedroom. My husband hates them.

I don't have any dolls, stuffed animals or pets on my beds!!!

I never thought of that before. You've probably just seriously edited my bed making.

Well, it's probably no problem since your son is making tents when he wakes up. That's plenty of airing out time!

He's only allowed to use the cushions and pillows. He was using sheets and blankets, but he secured the corners with a couple of my good vases, and of course they ended up in pieces.

If I did this, I'd have to leave for church, come home in a couple of hours, make the bed, and go back to church. But it's a good concept anyway!

I doubt it'd take a couple hours............I make mine after I get out of the shower.

Of course, I'm sleeping alone - - my bed doesn't get that "warm"! LOL~

Well, I usually make ours after I get out of the shower too, and sometimes after I'm completely ready, so I guess I'm ok. I guess my sheets have time to air out. I just never thought of it that way, I guess. When I was a kid, we had to make them as soon as we got up.

After reading this thread, I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one that doesn't get the bed made every morning. I have good intentions, but..... However, the bed does get "made" every night before we get in it. Well, not made with the comforter and pretty pillows - but the covers taken off, bottom sheet straightened and tucked in, top sheet and blankets all tucked in nice and neat.

Now - when I do get it made in the mornings, it has about 6-7 decorative pillows, and three stuffed animals (two bears and one rabbit). They all have very special meaning to me. The bears are up among the pillows and the rabbit is laying at the foot of the bed in the middle.

Yes, those stories are a distant past now. But at least you know he's all boy - not knowing the value of a women's pretty things!

If the sheets aren't cold to the touch, I don't make the bed. So, some days, the wait is longer. And, BTW, YOU started it!!
