I'm ex-military. I know all too well about the psychological conditioning of American soldiers. That's why I caution people when it comes to listening to the ol' "soldier's opinion".

Aside from that, I have the same mind for the prisons in our own country. I don't think they should have the privileges they have. I think they should all be doing some type of labor - all the time, no amenities.

(S) Arranging naked male detainees in a pile and then jumping on them;

worse things happen to folks joining a fraternity

(S) Taking photographs of dead Iraqi detainees.

I didn't hear them complain.

(S) Writing “I am a Rapest” (sic) on the leg of a detainee alleged to have forcibly raped a 15-year old fellow detainee, and then photographing him naked;

Who was committing torture?

(S) Placing a dog chain or strap around a naked detainee’s neck and having a
female Soldier pose for a picture;

wow he is probably scared for life from such torture

There were a few things that were done by individuals that were clearly criminal such as raping a detainee but I have my doubts Bush ordered that. We punished those who committed these acts.

Were they humiliated? Probably. Do I care if they are humiliated? Nope.
We used to be an honorable nation.

Bush has really lowered the bar for conservatives. Now they're near rock bottom when it comes to ethics and human rights.

Bro....troops are ratting each other out and photos have been taken on many occasions. It's not all made up. Though I do think you bring up a good point. Certainly a few cases could be false accusations. Being a nation of justice...we need to look into each claim and see if these prisoners were abused.

If we don't....we've lowered ourselves to being a lot like their countries.

Oh my, Bush is the one that did that, all by himself?

And I do believe our country has had some crack pot generals. But many honorable ones.

Bro...I know you're a radical conservative with your hair on fire for the cause and all. But Pat Buchanan wrote a book recently about the strategic and diplomatic blunders made by Britain that exacerbated the situation that led to WWI and WWII and compromised their global dominance. In his book he explains how America is making many of those very same mistakes.

Bro...we're not fighting nation states. This is something far worse...and it cannot be defeated militarily...because no one can surrender for them all.

This is something that we can only handle defensively by securing our boarders, domestic security procedures, airports, and policies regarding foreign nationals here on visas.

Re: General Accuses White House of War Crimes

Is war really about strategy anymore?
