Medication is the synthesis of purer chemicals that treat symptoms. There are very few medications that attempt to cure ailments, and those that do (or are) are merely larger doses or chemicals that emulate already occurring bodily processes.
I am probably the least likely to be a proponent of mass prescriptions (except to pay off Med School) but the comparison of terms is simply ridiculous there is no comparison at all.

I didn't say I don't take medicines, Ferd, did I? I'm just saying you can't disconnect modern day pharmaceuticals from the pursuit of medicinal cures back when the medicine men and witch doctors were the ones coming up with cures. You would only be fooling yourself to say otherwise, Bro.
