Corinthians 13
Love
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Yes Sister Alvear.... The Bible is very clear about this!!!!
I like all of it!

we are really blessed on this forum with many good people...we all may not see eye to eye but that is the human factor...however I am deeply grateful for each one. It is our differences that test how much Jesus we have in us not our likenss...
We learn to love, to respect and answer in kindness...we learn that even to our Hebrew Jesus that women and children were important...(unheard of in His day)...
We must follow our Messiah...walk in His steps, love our enemies and do good to those who despitefully use us...
We must look through His eyes...

Sorry to the ones I offended. It was totally TIC in addition to over the top. I have come to some realizations in the past couple years and today used this forum to vent.
I have friends on the "other side" as well. And I hope that we can maintain the friendships.

No hard feelings, just tough love..

In fact I think that the insinuation of "hateful" Pentecostals is coming mostly from the fertile imaginations of bitter, backslidden ex Apostolics who are constantly trying to find a way to justify their actions. ~ strait shooter
I have so many friends and I do not plan to beat them over the head with scripture...Where I may judge them that they fail in one area I am sure I fail in so many areas...I hope to be an example of a mother in Israel...a friend of children, show kindness to the poor and be a person that people can count on my prayers.

I don't have a whole lot of respect for anyone that thinks I'm going to hell because I don't teach their convictions...
I tolerate them, but do not respect them...
Just curious...under your name you have "sweetly broken". Your post speaks of someone who is hardened against another who may disagree.
Respect is a two way street. You respect me/I respect you. It has to start with one of the parties letting down the wall of disrespect for this to happen. Someone has to become selfless, willing to lay down the "my way or the highway" thinking.
In other words, one needs to be truly broken for this to become a reality.
Just my thoughts...
