I will say that looking at drug use, crime rates, longevity and most any other measure, children do better when raised by their mother and father both in their home.

Your societies example were bad and false examples.

Hitler ran Germany and not the society. You just gave examples of dictators which ignored the will of the people.

I take it you have zero reasearch to show the benefit of gay marriage?
Firstly by your logic, single and barren people are no benefit to society either!

Secondly, the second and third examples I gave are both events that happened right here in America! (And I can add, Jim Crow laws, and laws that discriminated against women in the previous centuries, all in America )

Oops, I goofed. The original answer is still there. The part I quoted below may have been added, not sure. Anyway. Ignore:

Good point. Homosexuals ain't the only ones hurting society.

There are many cases of barren and single people in the bible serving the Lord. My uncle ran a large mission in Africa with several single people.

There are no gays in the bible serving the Kingdom.

Monogamy
Monogamy, meaning long-term sexual fidelity, is rare in GLB relationships, particularly among gay men. One study reported that 66 percent of gay couples reported sex outside the relationship within the first year, and nearly 90 percent if the relationship lasted five years.
Gays don't want marriage.

So, you don't believe that men and women should be married?
We "codify" that don't we?
What other behaviors would you not "codify"?

You used the word, "we", does that mean you believe the "political machine" is a Christian effort?

Sandie,

While that may be true from our perspective, we do not legislate righteousness and morality.

Do you think premarital sex, adultery, or perhaps lying and gossip should be outlawed? Those things are all against God's will and could potentially harm society (in the sense of harming relationships, at least), but that doesn't mean we should have laws against it.

I feel that God supports free will, and He has proven that from the very beginning.
