This is what made FCF so different than NFCF

Daniel, do you think a Trinitarian is saved or lost?

Straight up yes or no will suffice.

Our repentance, baptism and reception of the Holy Ghost is our response to the message.

Our living a holy and godly life is the continuation of the relationship that was began at opur identification with the message.
You can't put it much more succinctly or accurately than that.

We had these discussions ad infinitum on FCF and NFCF. I really don't care to jump into it again.
Daniel, your logic is flawed here. You ask him to not attack the messenger- he merely points out that the use of CWTC is flawed. It is a biased book, and surely we have discussed this at length, albeit the archives are now not available. Some one wake up Timlan and tell him to come on back.

You know, I really have a problem with the idea that Jeff Arnold is saying that people are too stuck on the message. He was not saying that the message was invalid, or held lesser priority than in times past. He was simply stating that it is a foundational issue. At some point Christians need to move on, and yet continually add maturity to their walk with God.

To imply that he meant otherwise is quite a stretch.

That would be a pretty good start. Then maybe you could follow it up with explaining what those things are

That was how Peter explained it to sinners; pretty simple, I would say.

That is how we explained it to the teenagers that visited our youth service last night.

That is how I will explain it Sunday morning.

And any other time the question is asked, "What shall we do?"

Jesus has already done what he came to do--He died, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures.

Now the question is what must we do.

I'm going to obey the Scriptures.

I do agree with this statement. The way to God should not be littered with extra-biblical traditions of man. The path should be clearly defined, and well lit.

John 3:5, John 3:16, and Acts 2:38 are enough.

When the high Priest began at the brazen altar, would sin have been atoned for had he stopped there or at the laver?

Atonement was not complete until the blood made it all the way into the Holy of Holies.

Another red herring.

Bankrupt arguments cause people to resort to such.
