Final Judgment is in the hands of God I am only commissioned to preach the gospel final judgment is up to Him. That is a fact. However I do not believe folks who do not obey the gospel will be saved.

If folks only preached the gospel, that would be great. Problem is, so many hav tagged on so many additional non-gospel requirements, the gospel is almost completely hidden.

Okay, fine. I won't dispute the direct connection you and your family had. However, it still leaves me to wonder if you really think she never obeyed the gospel, even until her last breath. If you know what happened from the time (if) your family lost touch with them over the years and can honestly say she never obeyed the gospel, even when she passed, I'll leave the subject alone.

However, if you cannot say she never obeyed 'til her last breath, then the way you stated your post earlier makes it sounds as if you do know.

Sorry, folks, this is off-topic. But, some responses are sure in need of being clarified...

You wanted me to put your grandmother in Hell. God will be her final judge as well as yours and mine.

God knows all there is to know. HE knows the motive in our thinking and in our actions. Not only our actions, but what comes out our mouth pretty well tells what is in our heart! For from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

That is not correct she did not could her hair nor would she wear a wedding ring for years. Their church though Trinity weas against women cutting their hair years ago. they changed.

Never lost touch with them. They remained freinds of the family til their death. To my knowledge she was never baptized in Jesus Name.

Re: Trying to Rescue Another from HMH Doctrine

Whether it's HMH doctrine or any other human-crafted doctrine outside of the Bible, God will have the final say and sway.

One can be "commissioned" to preach "the gospel," but one better make sure they're equally quoting scripture that God Himself is the all-final authority in ANY matter, any subject, period. Not after their opinions have been stated. Last but certainly not least, one better be careful when making statements that so-and-so didn't obey the gospel.

Dag, your mistake here is that you are considering the Biblical definition of "the gospel". Epley is referring to HIS definition of "the gospel" which includes "no bobbed hair women will make it to heaven".

I am NOT speaking of the hair issue on this statement. At one time Vestal would not cut her hair but she hadn't been baptized in Jesus Name.

Ah, my mistake. However, that IS part of the gospel in your definition, isn't it?
