In one blockbuster of a speech, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resurrected my Dad's indomitable spirit and sent it soaring above the convention center, shooting shock waves through the cynical media's assigned spaces and electrifying the huge audience with the kind of inspiring rhetoric we haven't heard since my Dad left the scene.
This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP.
Yes pressing-on she tells quite a STORY. Her speech was written by Bush speech writers but I must admit she read it well.
The facts that she gave while tooting her own horn is another STORY!!
She led the audience to believe she sold the airplane on eBay which is a STORY. The plane was not sold on eBay but through a broker.
The pipe line she tooted her horn on is still in the planning stage AND ALL PREPERATION was done before she was in office. She was not involved with it. It is not scheduled to start until 2019 if at all. This is another STORY.
My defination of telling a STORY is: LIE
I'm sure if these two items were falsehoods there will be more.

Light, don't you imagine that Gov. Palin needs a little time to get up to speed on national and international issues? After all, she was nominated just 24 hours ago! Her previous focus was just on the issues facing the state of Alaska.
The press would LOVE to interview her before she gets solid footing on national and international issues, so they can get a soundbite that can be used to make her look like a dufas. Sorry, but she's smarter than that!
There will be PLENTY of time for interviews in the coming weeks. Maybe she can get on Oprah's show!

WRONG. Palin did not say that she SOLD the plain on eBay, but that she "PUT" it on eBay, which she did. See the following quote and source:

Smart political move on their part. They are going to go through the process and strengthen who they are before the media has a personal field day and misrepresentation.
And Oprah isn't wanting to jump on the bandwagon and let her on the show, BUT she did Obama. Hmmmmmm. What is Oprah afraid or?

She NEVER said she sold it on ebay............She said she listed it on Ebay, and it was later sold through a broker...... '
It was funny that her first inclination was to list it on Ebay, even though it did not sell through that venue, it was listed there for a time.
So that does not constitute a lie or story as you put it.
Listen to her speech She did not say anything about a broker. When you lead someone to believe something that is not true that is a lie.
