I have grown so tired of the apathy that exists among OPs when it comes to actually doing what Jesus Christ has commissioned us to do. For most Christians it's all about having church instead of being the church. For most it's let's go to church and be entertained.

If the church wants to be the church, it needs to catch the spirit of what you are expressing in this post.

Post of the Week.

As necessary as his swipe at me ... in which he states:

Daniel, you would defend the devil himself if he registered here and attacked Apostolic doctrine and ministry.

You are only sweet to those that agree w/ you. When they somehow challenge your dogma the Coondog comes out.

Forums are places of discussion ... a place to opine ... not shrines that agree w/ you and be submitted to a barrage of Inquistion-like castigations.

Your weak attempts to somehow monopolize the term Apostolic is just that a feeble attempt.

The predictable devices to define and pigeon-hole CrazyH are only based on the perceptions of a shrinking minority....

Yet you continue to marginalize and attack him even when he said things to the contrary.

CrazyH, spoke in general terms about a subject that should be important to all of us .... the priesthood of all believers. CrazyH is as Apostolic as the rest of us.

I must admit, however, that I enjoy seeing you post in the typical dogmatic, duplicitous, reactionary mode .... because well .... at least your posting.
Daniel, you are so wrong about Coonskinner...I cannot begin to tell you, hon...

Crazyhomie, thank you so much for your last post. We are so blessed in our own little world that we only speak of what surrounds us, what affects us, so many times we speak with on.

TB, you really hit the nail square on the head!

I'm sure God at times is so disappointed in us as we fuss and fight and want to be called his church. We've lost touch with reality for the most part because we don't live day to day surrounded by people like CH has talked about.

Man, this has ripped into my heart............

P.S. Crazyhomie - please stick around - - we need conviction in our lives.
Christianity that is just in the heart and in the head may be either sentimentalism or intellectualism. For Christianity to be alive, it must be lived out. This is what makes the Christian faith the most powerful force in the world!

We have early records of women working for God...whatever the men did the women were free to do also.
I personally think a lot of people change with whatever crowd they run with. No christmas crowd so no christmas...christmas crowd so once again they celebrate...women preacher crowd so WP no WP crowd no WP...
Hair up (ladies) crowd so hair up...hair down crowd so hair down is ok...and on and on...
I know men in the past that called me and would say Mother Alvear do you feel anything from God for me...some got with the no women crowd and they never ceased to be nice to me personally but it would be below their level of spiritual walk to ever call me...PEER PRESSURE...
Some so called church fathers did no like women but one of them wrote holy prisca...that preached the gospel...
Go the Catacombs, read foxes book, and go the the main sorce God´s Holy word and you will find many women that liked in the mist of a society and culture that taught women were mere objects...such as even the TALMUD...even so you will find women´s voices telling And sharing God´s word.
(By saying this I am not for manly women that is only surpassed in by a womanly man)...
A woman must be a woman in all situations but that does not mean she cannot say Thus saith the Lord...or even lead an army...or be a judge to God´s people giving them spiritual direction...or even hear the voice of the Lord before the man does...any spiritual woman would have enough sense to know to respect men...
I personally have been a leader for 40 years and have NEVER had one conflict with any of our preachers...if they want me to do something I will if nothing is said I am happier yet (and I really mean that) for they have learned to walk on their own feet without the missionary helping them. I honor them and they honor me ...( I am very blessed)

Yes you are, as are they!!

You just blow me away sometimes, Mother A...God bless you for your kind spirit and endless wisdom.

I have never desired to be like anyone but Christ, but I mean sincerely that when I grow up I want to be like you...!!

I can SO identify with what you say in this post.

Perhaps you live in Utopia, too?
