I owe thanks to many trinitarians...
RW Scambach... for showing me that racism has no place in the Body of Christ. ...that GREAT THINGS happen when God's People come together with one mind and ONE ACCORD (Hey, thats me!) to cross denominational, doctrinal and racist lines (at a time and place in the 70's that you just DID NOT cross racial lines) to worship God together. It was there in 1970, surrounded by black and Latino folks that I recieved the Holy Ghost. By the way, my Oneness pastor at the time suggested that I not attend the meeting because I "needed to stick with my own kind." And he wasn't just referring to Oneness people.
I owe thanks to Lea's Chapel Baptist Church, East Brow Baptist Church, New Bethel Church of God ( pastored by a women), and Last Day Harvest Church... all trinitarian... who have shown more of God's love to us through the past weeks of my wife's sickness than anyone. In honesty... we've yet to have a Oneness pastor darken our door...including our own.
So... thanks to all, whoever and whatever they are... who know and show God's love. And we pray for those who don't.
Please don't think I'm bashing Oneness preachers. Thank God for those who preach the truth. But more importantly...thank God for those who LIVE the truth.

This is so true. We seem to have problems getting along with each other, let alone getting along with someone of a different denomination!
Oh, I stand corrected... let me re-phrase:
We can't, won't, absolutely refuse, to get along with each other, let alone get along with someone of a different denomination, group, church, organization and/or ministerial fellowship!

I'm sorry but I have to take exception with this..LIVE truth? How can they when they don't HAVE IT? Anyone can 'act'. Truth is PURE., TRUE doctrine is everlasting.
Half-truths are not., no matter how pretty the outward pic is painted (not speaking of standards either) .. inner spirit has gotta be whole truth., regarding salvation; nevertheless I understand about how it CAN be in the trini churches I was once one too., so I do have compassion for them., but true love from us, will help them turn aside to examine what it is they are believing.

With respect, I think you missed the point. Thank God for those who preach the truth. But more importantly, thank God for those who live it. There is a difference. A big difference.
But you're correct in saying "true love from us, will help them...". Thats very true. Whats sad is that true love seems to be in short supply these days.

I would be horrified if we were gaining ecumenical acceptance, because that would mean we had sold out.

Would there be a difference in selling out and becoming friends with denominal pastors? Would you be opposed to having special services together at times like Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas?
