Using scripture to defend my point of view does not make my point of view any more or less pro-homosexual.
Is a Trinitarian going to get shot down for defending the Trinity from a historical perspective since a historical argument is the strongest case they have? Isn't someone defending the Trinity subjectively a promotion of false doctrines (according to most of the subscribers on this site)? Isn't this forum at risk of limiting the expression of others opinions to the point of its very existence being futile?
If one believes their doctrinal view is absolute truth based on their interpretation of Scripture and if it is only Scripture that is allowed to be discussed, then one of the two sides of an issue is, by the very nature of the rules, going to be guilty of promoting a false doctrine.
I would accept that this discussion should remain about topics of biblical concern but to require that every post be a quote from scripture and to disallow any personal opinion, interpretation, or scientific rebuttals is unchallenging to say the least.
