Well, God surely hates the practice of homosexuality. But I dont understand the church putting their heads in the sand about His 'hate' for divorce among His people.
His people are swapping partners as fast as homosexuals swap partners.
What's up with that?

I don't understand that either. I didn't know the church did hide it's head in the sand about divorce. But it is sad that it is "normal" that there are so many broken families.

I think Cindy is thinking of "dominant" in the sense of "domineering." I don't have a problem with women=submissive (role in marriage). I do have a problem with men taking a domineering role.
Scriptures regarding submission are directed TO women, which is a tacit acknowledgement that the ball is in her court. There are no commandments for men to make *certain* that their wives submit. There are only commandments for the man to love his wife and to sacrifice his own wants in preference to hers. Unfortunately, most men don't take their own commandments seriously, and are all too happy to walk around demanding that everyone in their vicinity (specifically their wife and children) do all the things that make them happy. That isn't exerting authority; that's illustrating selfishness.
I can understand having an objection to the term "dominant" because it evokes images of a domineering, overbearing male in my mind.
