Further, I really have no idea why hospitals can determine who gets to be at a dying person's bedside, or who can visit them. Where did that come from? IMO, a hospital has no business making value judgments about a person's relationships, regardless of their sexual preference.
I have the same problem with insurance companies. Why do insurance companies get to decide who can be on my policy? If I pay the premium, and clearly state the definition of my family unit, they (Insurance) should have no right of refusal.
A private institution has the right to set it's own guidelines and standards. A similar situation would be a church refusing to recognize gay marriages or gay ministers.
I suppose, but do hospitals stop live-ins from seeing each other?

I believe God, He says it's an abomination. Can't get much plainer than that.
When did God say that 'gay marriage' was an abomination?
I never read that.
I never even read that he hates gay marriage.
But I have read that He hates divorce between a man and a woman.
My understanding is a woman is not even to remarry if her first husband is still alive. But I dont hear too many Christians being horrified by the divorce and remarriage going on in the church.
And 'No', two men or two women - committing themselves in some kind of romantic alliance is 'sin'.
Just like divorce and remarriage while ones spouse is still alive.

I wasn't referring to gay marriage, but the practice of homosexuality. Do not confuse the two.

If gays choose to live together in America, they are free to do so. There is also provision for civil unions in most states, to cover legal issues.
But do not try to force the issue by destroying the building block of civilization, the union of a man and a women. This is the very best setting to continue the human race, to that there is no argument. "Marriage" has defined this relationship from the beginning of civilization, it is wrong for "gays" to demand to change this definition.
This is a valid argument, even without using scripture.

Husband-male. Wife-female. It hasn't changed by any definition.
