The few times I have been exposed to the prophetic gifts I have felt nervous and uneasy. I have always considered this reaction to be on account of deficiency in my faith and my righteousness. I have wondered at times, but have relied on the spirit indwelling in me. Jesus is a trusty guide.
The few times that I felt that something in a service as amiss in the spirit, if I didn't leave immediately, I discussed it with my wife and my pastor only. Part of being a good sheepdog (shepherd's helper) is not getting the sheep all riled up ready to stampede for something that might be nothing.
Skepticism is easy. Believing is hard.

OR . . . .
It's all an opportunity to fine-tune our sensibilities.

Pretty simple.
When I first posted, I was pretty aggravated at RW for what he did.
After I thought about it a while, I modified my opinion about what should be done.

J-Roc, if this was a competition coon hunt, you'd be minused for a slick tree.
Bark on, buddy.

I who have no dog in this hunt could even figure out that you probably were riled up, but then you cooled off. It don't take a prophet to figure that out. Man, if changing your mind or having a change of heart is a sin, then we're all guilty! Let him that is without sin cast the first stone...........

Rev,
All in the world this was was a weak attempt at playing "Gotcha!"
Basically what it amounts to is that there was nothing else to pick at.
RW said what he said and meant it, no matter how many times our resident spin doctor tried to say the sky wasn't really blue.
It is all there in black and white.
So the only thing left to do is try and find something like this to try and magnify and exploit.
But like I said, it was a slick tree.

(Pssssssssssssssss.... Hey................. Would this be an inappropriate time to tell about how the same Evangelist told a young man in my Church "Son, I don't know where you work but I feel in the Holy Ghost that they are going to try to move you away from this Pastor and this Church. Don't let them do it! It's a mistake that the adversary is going to lure you to make."
"The place you work is going to split right down the middle and, if you stay faithful, you'll be promoted to take over the most productive half of your company."
Got a call this morning... :sshhh
You guess it. They flew him in a private jet to see the Dallas branch, offered it to him to be the supervisor! he turned them down flat... although he did like the private jet and waiting limo! When he got home they told him that the local branch - hundreds of employees - was being split into two divisions and - since he was going to stay local - they wanted him to take over the bigger half.
BIG pay raise. Great job.
Am I stirring things back up by testifying again?)
God's good... all the time!

Now now, Steadfast, let's not get out of hand, God might get glorified and then crazy things would start happening.
