It's not personal, it is spiritual.
Listen I have a brother and sister in the Lord who came to find Truth during a Halloween haunted house which was called "the flames of hell the gates of heaven" since that was the way they got their first paper Bible, should I advocate Halloween? We have a whole Bible at our disposal, and as a Catholic priest once told me "every year everyone comes back to Rome with Xmas"
Again, it is not personal, but facts is facts, we can sit here and get melodramatic and teary eyed over It Came Upon the Midnight Clear. Yet, that still doesn't prove Jesus will pat us on the back and tell us good job. When does the all the incorporating of warm fuzzy Catholicism stop? I had nuns who were super cool to me when I was young, I remember when I was given a box of candy during a the Epiphany. I didn't incorporate the nun's habit or the Epiphany into Pentecost. You see what I mean?

And what are you going to do, stop these efforts of outreach, using whatever method they can take advantage of to reach the lost?
Is that your plan? Are you going to campaign to stop Christmas along with the Atheists?

Re: Where's the Christmas Thread?????
Growing up, we celebrated Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and Easter and even Halloween (my dad was never in the church). As I got older, I don't have anything against celebrating those holidays, I just don't feel like doing so myself. I have no interest in holidays, whatsoever.
I barely even recognize my own birthday, except as the official day I grow another year older. The only time I've done anything of import to celebrate my birthday, was my first birthday after moving to Nebraska. Even that was just splurging on a dinner out, by myself.
These things just don't hold any appeal to me. Nevertheless, I don't go around criticizing those who do. It's their choice, let them work out their own salvation. I see it as between them and God.
