Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega

Most republicans don't want Trump. That's why he has the most delegates, largest turnout, etc etc.

I don't even support Trump but this play is so obvious. I hope the GOP does it. It'll guarantee their political demise.

Yet another reason the GOP is a joke.
There are Trump delegates who have turned sour on him and want out. They need to be able to do that.

Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delegate

Chapter 6 recognizes that the position asserted here (that delegates to
the Republican National Convention are “unbound” and free to vote their
consciences on all matters including the presidential nomination) is not
universally held, and it attempts to address some of the critiques and
objections that have been raised by those who disagree with the assertions
and conclusions reached in this book.

Right - fear mongering. You have always done well with that subject, Sunshine. Good going.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega

“It is now obvious that Donald Trump would be as much an electoral disaster as he already is a moral disaster, with his bigotry, dodgy business record as a con man, and sheer viciousness,” argues veteran conservative columnist and anti-Trump activist Quin Hillyer. “The time has come for the RNC to stop its disgusting strong-arm tactics on Trump’s behalf and instead accede to a simple ‘conscience clause’ allowing delegates at the convention to abstain rather than vote for Trump, if they have a personal, moral objection to his candidacy.”

Fear mongering? Who in the world would be "afraid" of the GOP wing of the Uniparty going down the drain?

Oh, wait...

The GOP wants Hillary.

That says all anyone needs to know.

His hateful rhetoric is the bigotry. That is his personality. And again, I agree with Steve Deace - When it is about personality the Democrats win. When it is about issues, the Republicans win. This election is about personality.

You should think about supporting someone who is sane, electable and who doesn't keep writing checks to the Clintons. Just a thought. You don't have to thank me.

Anyway, this thread is about freeing the delegates. It isn't so much about Donald Trump nor is this subject about Ted Cruz per se.

He's your embarrassing candidate, so I see why you are a little upset that we are discussing his issues publicly. I'll pray for you. Don't forget to get your signed photo from Jerry Falwell, Jr.

Perhaps the non-Conservative side of the GOP does want Hillary. And I can see their point to some extent. "At least we know what we are getting. With Donald, you never know from day to day. He changes his mind more than his underwear."

Typical Trumpster tactic. Can't argue the point, so they make baseless accusations.
