Wow I am so glad there are alot of places to go here. One of the ones I like best is Big Lagoon State Park.We used to go to Ft.Pickens fishing and there
was a camp site there but it got hit by the last hurricaine and is not open.
There are free camp sites here along the river.

We had a church wide campout about three weeks ago. It was fun, although I didn't sleep in a tent like the others. I stayed in my 31 ft RV.

Our church family does that too but I want to do some real camping. Its too
hard to drag a slide out up a mountain.Unless I get some big bucks and hire
some guys to bring my stuff up to the campsite like some of those old safari movies I don't see that happening soon.

I just bought a cargo van. That and an air mattress is all I need to go camping.

I said camping not loitering...lol......
No serious I had a customized van and camped in it for years but we still brought and set up the tent. The tent could be set up closer to the cliffs
and it made it more fun when we got the campfire going.I like to watch the river rolling by.

We've got tents too, but I don't need one to go camping by myself. I bought this van so I could put my two man boat, trolling motor, batteries, tackle, poles, chairs, etc. in one place and be ready to go. My son and I are planning a camping trip for next weekend. Once we get this first guys only trip out of the way then we will plan one for the whole family.

Once I put my lawn chair into the canoe. It was not a pretty site when I tipped it in the pond and had to crawl back over the snakes and gators to
get out of the water and on the bank.Thats what I get for trying to get too much in the boat..lol...

Well here in east Texas it get pretty hot, remember I only wear long sleeves and long pants. Also the mosquitoes will carry you away at night.
