I heard an Apostolic preacher preach on this subject, the bible says when there are two are three gathered in my name I will be in the midst. But just because He is in the midst, he does not endorse this fellowship that does not stand for truth. It is not with his approval as you have stated.

That elitist comment works both ways.

It's just as true of meetings where extra-biblical commandments of men are preached as Gospel Truth.

Just because he's there don't mean he endorses man made commands being preached as God's commands.
