James 1:27 (KJV) Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Is this not a call to "perfection" ? Unspotted is "no" spots..

So, All Dogs Do Not go to Heaven? That leaves out the Dalmatian! Right?

We are always called to the One Standard that is Jesus Christ and through Him we have purity , holiness and the rigtheousness of God . Of course when we understand that He said " You are clean throught the words that I have spoken to you . " then we can walk in the power of His perfection because we all know that we have nothing but filthy rags to offer when it comes to self .
We have the power in the name of Jesus to live what the word says and not just talk about it !

True religion is visiting and caring for the parentless children, and the wives who have lost their husbands. True Religion is good.

Man-made religion = bad

God inspired , holy worship that changes lives by loving them right = good

There are other dogs that are spotted and there are some people with freckles .

So then in walking in the power of the infilling of the Holy Ghost, we are capable of living a perfect life. (speaking of sin here, not of simple mistakes like locking my keys in the car)

Perfection comes from God not us , so in essence we are incapable of doing anything truly righteous but since we are members of the body of Christ , the workmanship of God , He lives His perfection through us therefore we can take no credit for doing anything righteous. It is just as Paul said " yet not I but Christ lives in me " .

I in myself am only capable of " missing the mark " .
I in Christ am incapable of " missing the mark ."

Holy living comes through Christ not us .
