No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

One of them was not J.E.
I'm neither young nor UPC.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Well I think the upc preachers on facebook that you see with facial hair, probably just
realize it is not a sin-there is no special agenda that I have heard of.

The problem is "rebellion" and "failing to submit/not submitting" is the catch-all which literally turns anything that isn't a sin, into one IF it is preached against.

Re: Who will SHAVE the lost in 2009?
If the bible doesn't prohibit something is it a sin ?
If one isn't doing something the bible doesn't condemn in principle are they sinning ?
Do preachers have rights to set standards without biblical backing ?

Yes, most of them were UPC. I have no idea what that was all about but nonetheless, they all made a pledge not to shave after they had some type of "Round Table" get together.
