Perhaps I should have put the question this way ...
What's the first sign or how do you know a person has received the HG? Praying at the altar or wherever ... what's the initial evidence?
It's not the fruit of the spirit ... that takes a time and process of growth.

Yes. I affirm. Acts 2:38 is not an option. But neither is 2nd Cor. 6:17... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And so maybe this is not the Apostolic forum you desire?
Keep your head in the game, PP.
Go back and sound it out.

Necessary for obedience?
Obedience to what?
HAHAHA!!!
You choose to redefine "Apostolic?" That's cool.
Just be honest about it.
And you just proved my point. AFF's belief is that water baptism is not necessary for salvation. That is NOT traditional Apostolic or Oneness Pentecostal doctrine.
And please, don't run and go get Timlan to point out some obscure handful of preachers who believed differently, because the overwhelming, massive majority of OP's have historically believed like yours truly.

I think this poll was started just so Dan and PP can have another spat. I'm 'bout to break out the popcorn!

I'm glad you've chosen to side-step our collective forum definition and place yours as superior ...
This only proves it once again that most 3-steppers believe in disfellowship and will not tolerate divergent views.
You cannot deny that this forum is Apostolic based on it's accepted core values. Nor can you accept other definitions for Apostolic other than your own.

The Holy Ghost is for today?
Was there doubt about this?
The Holy Ghost isn't just for today, it is a NECESSARY experience.

The collective forum definition of Apostolic is different from traditional Oneness Pentecostal doctrine - BY A MILE!!!!!!
Who said anything about disfellowship? I fellowship with everyone here. I have no one on ignore.
And, of course I won't use your New Age guru-speak and say that I am tolerant of a differing view than that of the Bible. Perhaps you are being intolerant of my belief that you are wrong?

It defines what many that call themselves apostolic believe.

Dan got to it first. But the Bible does not say you will receive tongues when the HG gets on ya. It says you will receive power. Power to live righteous and all the rest. Again I beleive tongues are AN evidence but not the ONLY evidence. Dan stated fruits or the spirit and also gifts of the spirit manifest as well. I feel that everyone has gifts of the spirit in them. Often we move in them and do not recognize them I beleive.

Re: Apostolic Litumus Test: Do you affirm - Yes or
The question never was do you think this statement is Apostolic enough but whether you believe these things, PP ...
Those that believe that every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith
with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
You obviously don't as evident by your poll response. Would you like a mulligan?
You might be the reason then for why we are not Apostolic enough.
