Your post made me think of a Mafia type of wedding between rival mafiosos. Everyone, even Grandma, shows up to the wedding packing!
You got that right!

Mutts make the best dogs, in my opinion. I haven't had a dog in a long time, but I sure would like to have one. Funky old landlord won't let me have one, though. He's worried about his precious wood floors ! For what he's charging me for this house I should be able to have wild animals in the house if I wanted!
I married a Philippina & am glad that she was a Christian!
That was the determining factor-not the race.
Mixed race kids I am told, have the distinction of being cute as well.
Marrying a female of any race out to be cause for concern for anyone!
WARNING! I AM ABOUT TO SHOOT MYSELF HERE!
Women & thier nutty hormones! Sheesh!
You need to repent brother. God can still strike you down ya know, if a woman doesn't first.......

Racism is a good word. but in the church I think we ought to approach it a bit differently.
we should call it SIN. racism is as sinful as homosexulality or drunkeness or lying or any of the other sins listed.
and it will send you to hell.
there. I feel better.
Tell it!!!!

I have 11 nieces and nephews, 3 are half black, 1 is half samoan, and 1 is half philipino. They are adorable!! The resta re white like me, but they are precious too!
I tell my mom she has her own song... "Grandma loves all the grandkids, red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in her sight..."
It is my opinion (and I believe that of scripture), that the most important thing God looks at is their beliefs (are both Christian), not their skin color.
But marriage between an ultraCon and a Liberal.... uh oh

Sadly, I just had a family get ticked off beyond measure because I performed a mixed marriage a few weeks ago. The couple was the son and daughter of two of my ordained ministers who are assistants. One is our worship pastor, who is a commander in the Navy and also in management in a local mfg facility here and the other is a college professor. They are outstanding families in our church.
To the family who got ticked off, who won't talk about it with me, I say, "Don't let the church door hit ya where........" well, you know the rest! I can deal with a lot of things, but this type of unChrist like behavior is not one of them!
Preach it PASTOR!!!

If they are in love I WOULD recommend it!!!!!!!!!! And that comes from MY experience as well.
I'm happy that you have had a good experience, your right--just because I had a bad one doen't mean it's not right for someone else. I guess The key would be to be accepting of each other's differences and not try to change each other and that could be for any situation--city girl to county boy, (me) northern girl to southern boy (me) or an actual race difference.
The Bible doesn't say interracial marriage is a sin,but interracial marriages in alot of places will have prejudices and cultural probelms, and alot of times children in mixed marriages suffer from both sides.
But say to it's a sin ,I can't honestly say that.
As in any marriage people should not marry outside of the faith, and folks need to make sure they marry in God's will.

People who are always looking for fault, can find it easily all they have to do,is look into their mirror.
There they can find plenty of fault.
I honestly feel like some of the people who I have dealt with in the past have used their "genuine concern" for the social plight of the interracial to mask their own discomfort with White/Black marriages specifically. Some of them did not raise the same concerns with the unions of other cultures. At the same time I do recognize the unique history of White/Black in America.
It has long been a regret of mine, that the church was not at the forefront of overcoming that history (particularly the Apostolic church, since we do claim to be the Church). I say that if two people are in love and the will of God...go for it. Their chances of making it can't be any worse than anybody else's these days.
I heard an old Black preacher in Pentecost say "don't call me Brother, if deep down you feel you are too good to call me Brother-in-Law, because Brother is a much more intimate relationship"
