Sorry, I must have missed it.
For one thing, adult stem cells are where virtually ALL promise lies in terms of therapy. And 2nd, I don't trust people to properly use embryonic ones. Meaning, in a classic sense of "give a yard and they take a mile", as soon as any research is allowed you would have researchers using fetus's of ALL ages.
A compromise would be allowing fertilized eggs from fertility clinics.
Much of the debate rages about PUBLIC funding of said research..... As a good old conservative economists, I don't feel ANY
public funding should be used -adult, embryonic, or otherwise.
