As to "the loss that transcends numbers", don't you think that might be a little over the top?

Couldn't you step up and be the next Johnny Godair?

You have had much more influence with me then he will ever have. I can't recall hearing him preach one time.

The Lord can and will raise up men and women to stand in the gaps.

Despite everyone's generous speculations, no one knows how this is going to end up or if it is even going to get started

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

His inconsistent stance is a major reason the television res passed.

Especially when most of what they preach against on TV can be accessed on the internet....and worse....

I have wondered that from the beginning. If they do start a new organization, how are they going to deal with the things that they don't agree with each other about now? (much less things that they disagree on later)

I guess that my issue is that people seem to discount the reaction that I, Thad and others have to some of these situations and stories as baseless or over-reaction, or worse. I simply feel as though we should be able to voice our feelings or concerns (not attacks) regarding some of this stuff without being treated as though we have crawled out from under a rock, or somehow have it out for the ministry. For me, nothing could be further from the truth. I think that you will understand this?
I just saw this, Diz, and I do understand that being in the midst of a situation brings a totally different perspective than viewing from the sidelines.

As I was preparing for bed a moment ago, I thought again what someone said to me Saturday afternoon regarding all of this, and it is simply that "God knows."

He knows what this is all about and why it is happening and sees the whole picture.

It is much too big for this little mind to comprehend, especially when I am overtired.

Goodnite all...

So does he have influence or doesn't he?

I think this is giving him too much credit.

I would not doubt that was present in some minds....

I have never gotten the tv prohibition remaining while there is an embracing of the internet....the only way to really end that hypocricy is to disallow both or preach control of both (which is what I do)....I preach/teach very plainly several times year on the necessity of controlling technology...and name TV and the internet....

OH, this kind of thing happens in the South, too - Thad. Leave an Independent Church and go to a UPC church and it happens. Leave a UPC church and go to an Independent Church and it happens. Go to what others call a "Charismatic" church and you're roadkill. At my age, this type of thing no longer matters much to me personally. A stinking judgmental spirit is where the real "roadkill" smell is coming from. I see churches imploding, babies killed within the womb of the church and others standing at the door to prevent the entrance of those who should be welcomed. It's not a "Western" vibe. The gun fights are notorious in my neck of the woods. Dodging bullets has become an art form.
