Amen!!

I believe there is only ONE offering to pay for the conference itself. The rest of the offerings are taken by various divisions for their various projects.

And giving to those works are not fleecing.

I'd like to see how much expense cutting they have done first - perhaps they should consider smaller venues....other things they could do before charging a fee.

And maybe they have done this...

is the $25 a one time charge or a daily thing?

charging a fee to the attendee shouldnt be their first solution to offset expenses...IMO..all that does is further decrease attendance and of course your offerings decrease...
I'm not sure if anybody has answered this already.
The Crusade service will not require registration.
The registration fee is for the entire conference although there may be a charge per event if a person is only planning on one.
The first night and first business session will be open to those who have not registered although at that time they will be strongly encouraged to register.

On the television poll - it's a waste of time, energy and money. What somebody in Podunk thinks will not influence my vote.

Anyone got an estimate of what the # of registrants might be at this conference?

If you think $25 is going to stop people from coming...you have another thing coming. I think it will be about the same. According to the hotel reservation page, I know 2 hotels are already sold out. We are really talking about $3 a service. I do think it would be different if they charged $100 though. But, $25? I don't think we will see a drop in attendance.

(however, I do like Daniel's idea of growing a beard and getting a "special pass" LOL! J/K!)

I think it is dead wrong to charge a preacher $25 to enter the business meetings, after they have already paid their dues and tithed to the district.

After last years night services I think they should pay me $25 to sit through them.

You know what? No one makes you go...

And if the UPC is so "liberal" and no on matches up to you...why go anyways??
