I was walking past my brother as he lifted it. He said move ** (my name)! But being the youngest of four and spoiled very obstinate I didn't. He swung that thing around and knocked me right upside the temple.

Boing! I stopped for a minute. Put my hand to my head. Pulled it down and saw the blood. And then I started wailing.

He got his butt whupped cause I didn't move!

HAHA!!!!
What a brat!!! You probably cried extra loud to get him in worse trouble! lol!

The older kid and their moms is so different then those of us who came along later.

We may have gotten beat up and locked out of a lot of rooms where fun things were happening but when it came to getting a pass from our moms.....

I am so glad I was the youngest!
Another brat!! LOL!

They never knew!

I also would take detention slips out of the mailbox and burn them before my mom got home. This was the days before cell phones and answering machines!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

In 1982, I was in 8th grade. I broke the record for the most detentions, which was 49.

I got 56 that year. Served about 12 of them.

I'm sure my name is still mentioned in that school.....

Is this a good time to mention that I also missed 34 days of school that year?
I had to stay after school one day - Science Teacher! I climbed out of the window and walked home.

My Senior year I turned 18 because my birthday is in September. My Science Teacher handed me a detention slip and I signed it and handed it back to him. LOL!

He was glad I graduated in February!

LOL!

I was raised in a suburb of Chicago. No answering machine, no cell phone, not even call waiting.

If it was available, we couldn't afford it.

Wow I drove a custom chevy van with huge Jensen speakers in the walls
and a pioneer supertuner.Remember those? I had so many eight tracks that I had to store them under the bed in leather brief case holders.Thank God for giving someone the knowledge to invent CD's.Those were the old concert
and camping days of my life.We used to drive over by Hammond,La and go tubing down the Tangipahoa River near Ticfaw.I loved the seventies.
