Re: American Idol

Fritzy,

I also thought Danny's song choice of "You are so beautiful" was not a good one but I was pleased with his performance.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Simon was impressed, which shocked me.

Yup. Simon called Danny's performance a "Master class"

Re: American Idol

I'm hoping, by some miracle, Adam gets voted off tonight. I'd love to see the look on the judges and Adam's face ... especially since Simon's already proclaimed Adam as the winner.

According to the AP, Simon told Oprah that Adam will win because he's fearless, unique and "he's got swagger."
C'mon America ... make Simon cry! LoL

I think his "declaring" could cause people to vote that normally wouldn't just to try and STOP them from winning.

Re: American Idol

I still have not decided if Adam is going to have a huge mainstream career or be relegated to Gay Burlesque / Bath House shows.

He has had performances I thought were outstanding but just as many I found awful. If he can control his tendancy to go over the top his ability to hit those high notes with such force is amazing.

Re: American Idol

Danny may still have a chance. He still has the "Vote For The Worst" people's vote.

Re: American Idol

Well, we'll know in a bit who got the least votes.
