I love Canada. In fact I think it should be the 51st state!

I don't suppose we should be attending Summer Summit or General Conference this year either?!
The question of our continuing interest in the UPC is an interesting one, and one for which Pastor Blessed has given a very good answer. I probably interact with as many UPC preachers and people as many UPC ministers have opportunity to fellowship.

In the Oneness world, to borrow a phrase,"When the UPC sneezes, we all get a cold." The UPC is very important to the Oneness movement, and therefore we take an interest in the trends and issues that affect the organization.

There has been a vast change in the UPC in New Brunswick in the last couple of decades, and credentials are not nearly so important in defining fellowship as they used to be. I meet many UPC preachers and people at non-UPC events, and non-UPC preachers and people at UPC events.

Would we be the only state to have posted a budget surplus every year for the last decade or more?

Would we be the only state to do the decent thing and guarantee all of its citizens equal access to quality healthcare?

No

and

no.

many states have budget surpluses.

All Americans and any illegal aliens have equal access to quality healthcare. it is in the area of equal coverage by insurance where there is discrepency. Canada as the 51st state might be the first to guarantee that. BUT Mass. I think has some kind of insurance coverage for all citizens there....

(PS poor people get a great deal here. it is the middle class/self employed that have issues).

You mean like Bro. Steadfast collapsing with apparent heart failure and being afraid to go get treated properly because of insurance fears?
Or how about people having a heart attack and getting financially wiped out?

he, he. I know and I tease them, they are my friends and are excellent at what they do. The song-leader jokes that he does a lot of "seniors" weekends, ha!!
This year J&K are doing at least some of the music and since they are involved, I would expect them to use E.P. and his lyric database. They will do a great job of blending but don't expect down home...alas, I shall not be there as I will be away on vacation..er, holidays.

Yessir, especially if the Argos are involved, because Ontario rules the broadcasting schedules...I've tried, but I can't get into CFL...must be my upbringing!

Yes sir, I can understand his shock...from 30 years to today, in our sanctuary, would be quite the change!!!
