I don't remember Newman and I don't remember that debate. There are so many debates on here that get repeated and recycled every so often.

Each side plunks down their "Greek expert's" words gleefully and triumphantly like they are playing the highest trump card available and winning the game. There is nothing wrong with either pov,
but one mostly must be dragged kicking

Ok, because I grasp your definitions there, I'm pretty sure,
I'm going to say that you are absolutely right,
but that this is also completely irrelevant.

God knows your pov is not Truth, because He is Truth;
but God considers your POV sacred,
or "won't interfere in your free will,"
because from your pov,
reality and truth, and prolly even Truth,
are reflected perfectly; and God is smarter
than us, and knows that you can't change
someone else's pov with a bludgeon,
which is what the nicest, most logically framed
argument is, as soon as i insist
that this be your pov.

You know the things you know,
and the fact that the things I know
may contradict something you know
is completely irrelevant, from your pov;
just like the reverse is irrelevant to mine.

Of course, if you hear something I say,
that happens to disagree with a position of yours,
and agree with me, well, then, that is only because
your pov has changed.
