My lands, our supermarkets are ransacked, and frankly if you do the math, they have nothing to worry about. I have people in our church who will be impacted by this hysteria locally. Cruise ship industry, school closings, building department closing, and local event cancelations. I mean seriously, cooler heads in leadership should prevail. Yet, gone are the days of manly male leadership who weren’t afraid to tell the people how the cow ate the cabbage. But now we have politicking all across the board. Trump said that the media was blowing this whole thing out of proportion? Well I just heard of that this morning. If he did say it, then bravo, because we needed someone to say something at the top. Tom Hanks and his wife has it? Who cares!!! How on earth did we need to know that? What does it matter to the billion of us who may never get it or any other virus? If Obama was president or some other liberal progressive this would be a different story. Sad really, how the people of this world get puppeted around by the politics of America.

I going to have to remember to use that.

File it right next to:
Grinning like a mule eatin sawbriars.
Which saying should not be confused with:
He has enough money to burn a wet mule in a creek bottom, using hundred dollar bills for fuel.
This saying originated in the Fort Lauderdale area of South Florida and describes a financially successful apostolic evangelist from there, who has a penchant for using expressions like:
“He was shaking like puppy passing a peach pit”.

Well, Tom and Rita are news to those who follow all that, and to their family, I'm sure they DO care.
We have positive Covid-19 in Michigan so temporary social distancing doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.
We can agree on the hype and hysteria... people are in panic mode for sure.
I'm trying to reach for positive aspects of this... guess I'm weird, eh? But maybe we can take this time to slow our lives down.
I believe that in the midst of the uncertainly the world is experiencing the Church can be a beacon of hope. We can speak life and not death. We can show kindness in the craziness around us in the grocery store. We can encourage someone in a long line that they don't need to panic... God's got this! We can be what we need to be in this troubling time for so many who don't know the Way.

Sister Barb, my comments on Tom Hanks and his wife were to point out how much of a circus this is. Honestly, Tom Hanks has the virus? Were we notified to all sit around him like he was a snake bit Paul? Are we to ask Hey is Tom dead yet? Because NO he won’t die, and his wife won’t die. Hey how about parading dead famous people who died from the virus? Because they have none. Sister, I have people who need to make their bills, while all this stupidity on shut down this and that, is going on. No one is telling anyone if the bills are going to be put on hold. We can look at this as an opportunity? Ok, I understand, but we don’t need bureaucratic confusion and mayhem to help us spread the Gospel. Social distancing? That’s a new phrase to me, did our media make us a new phrase to pass around? Well, little hard spreading the message of Christ if we are socially distancing from each other. We are in a lot of trouble in this country. It isn’t because of any coronavirus or Zombie creating weaponized virus. It is good old stupid. While that is Pied Piping us into tomorrow, you can bet your brass buttons our media will be sending us right off a cliff into a very dark abyss.
Some people in Michigan have the virus? Can you say there names? A time to worry is when we have a Medival proportional Black Death hit us. Not ZEKA in the stingers of weaponized West Nile virus Mosquitos. Do you understand where I’m coming from Sister? We have to ask the questions to why are they making this a huge Hollywood drama? Where is the responsibility to the people to give them sober facts, instead of electronically waterboarding them?

Where were you sitting at the diner this morning? Because that is what I was talking about at breakfast. When we first started to hear about AIDS, HIV, it was supposed to wipe us out just from touching a door knob. I remember that hysteria all too well. But guess what folks we had a celebrity Magic Johnson become the OMEGA MAN. Maybe that is what Tom Hanks can be? Nah, because people, young, old, male, female, sister, brother, were dying, we actually knew them. We knew them, and their names. The only thing we have different from the 80s is the social media, that is the ring in the nose.

Re: Coronavirus contains HIV genes
I have Facebook friends from all over the USA, and some in other countries. I asked if any of them knows of anyone with this virus. So far, no one does.

Re: Coronavirus contains HIV genes
Just received a txt from one of the board members for WPF.
He said they’re cancelling the men’s meeting in Nampa, ID this week.
They’re also cancelling WPF Summit in Spokane, WA in April as well.
