Jfrog, You sure read into what I have written when you act as if I condemned him to hell. And I have also never said I feel he condemns people to hell for having facial hair. Where have I refused to fellowship with him? I have done none of those things.

Jesus was accused of being a lot of things because he fellowshipped with sinners. I want them to enter into the life of Jesus, hopefully if they don't know him I can influence them. Or maybe I can learn something from them....!!!

Ummm you did say:

Whether they grow facial hair or not is absolutely NO business of any minister. And no minister should be requiring (directly or indirectly) anyone to line up with their personal belief. They are imposing their personal preference- that they clearly admit is not considered sin - onto others. And then are content that they have ALL the fellowship they need and do not desire to be around those who disagree. And then say that "God does convict those who really want to live for God," thus insinuating that the others don't really want to live for God..... Now- who is causing division? It is not those who have facial hair who would gladly fellowship if they could.

By the way do you have a beard or the like?

I was in a UC church in the mid 70's, I even lead the singing. I remember around the alter one night pastor put his arm around me and said, "BR. B____, the Lord has been speaking to me, you need to get a haircut." I got a haircut, but later wondered if the Lord didn't have more important things to say?

The standards were never communicated in a simple meeting with logical presentation. But rather during "anointed" preaching statements were made that everyone was supposed to automatically understand....what was meant. Pastor was a good man and his emotional preaching was what first attracted me there, but before long, about four years, I was a slow learner, I began to see that that's all it was emotion and very shallow preaching.

If YHWH said having a beard was sinful it would have been gone decades ago. Why should I shave my God given beard because YOU and others don't like beards?

Of course you didn't refuse to fellowship with him, you don't have a beard. But if you had a beard you probably wouldn't shave it so you could fellowship with him either. That is a form of refusal to fellowship... just sayin

If it's wrong and not a heaven or hell issue then maybe I was wrong... (of course I'm sure I could dig up some other condemning posts on this thread toward him...)
