If My people, who are called by My name,
Will humble themselves and pray,
Than I will hear from heaven,
And I will heal the land.

This scripture might be worded wrong cause I'm going from memory but I believe its in 1 or2 KIngs. Its been going through my head all day, cause the preaching in church was "if and than " scriptures, but this one was left out.

Who's God talking about ? One God Jesus name apostolics.

What does He want us to do? Go out and vote in people we think are right? NO,walk around gloomy and doomy,NO,. Get on our faces and pray, stand in the gap like Moses did, go spread the word like Jonah. YES.

The only thing I'm worried about is that its going to take a disaster for that to happen.

Do you think that this man's word carries the same authority?

How will you know that some bad calamity is judgment from God???? Remember 9/11?

Dave I don't think anyone speaks with the same authority as the word of God. He put his word above all things but I believe that our spirit does bear witness when It's from a human voice given to us

According to Bro Strange, He received a word from Nona Freeman of hard times ahead for the USA, but revival would come out of it. He posted it on NFCF.

Bro Strange, I vaguely recall that.... could you repost the experience???

something about Pentecost sought the exuberiance of the Spirit for the last 100 years or so.... and now needs to seek the power of the Spirit....

I am surprised that many haven't already come to the point of realizing that America can no longer sustain its sinful desires and lifestyle choices. I genuinely believe that judgement is coming, that it is already in process.
The Bible says that judgement begins in the house of God, or something to that effect. If this is so, no wonder so many orgs are struggling since many divisive folks want to destroy the old paths.
UPC is not significant in its struggle with the liberal agenda that has washed into the church, except that UPC is one of the larger orgs. ACLJ is also having to deal with the issues.
Many fine men of God have left orgs for the fact of liberalism.
There is a rising awareness among the church that our God is holy and doesn't request holiness. He demands it. Big difference! Without holiness we cannot even see God.
Holiness is more than just clothing, though it is a part of it. It is lifestyle that reflects godly attributes. It is a lifestyle that is separated from the world. It refuses to embrace worldly entertainment for purity's sake.

CHURCH: get your act together. God will not always strive with your waywardness.

Ever since 9-11 it seems like there are many doomsday prophets running around. They have said that Saddam and Osama Bin have brought more people to church than any combination of preachers.

Newsflash: In the world ye shall have tribulation, but been of good cheer, for I have overcome the world.

I don't buy being spiritually motivated through fear, nor am I going to live a chicken little lifestyle, however, I can and predict with 100% certainty that....things are going to change.

I trust the goodness of God and serve him with gladness. I refuse to be ruled or managed by fear.
To this, I say a hearty "amen."

When I see troubles coming and the distress of nations as we are seeing now, I look up because I know that redemption is drawing near. It is not a time for fear, sadness and the "chicken little attitude" for the righteous.

When we see these things approaching, having spiritual eyes and understanding, it is a time of rejoicing in the God of our salvation. Look, since time began David recognized that nations are going to have tribulation because they turned their back on God, nothing unlike America is doing:

Psa 9:16 The LORD is known [by] the judgment [which] he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.

Psa 9:18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall [not] perish for ever.

Psa 9:19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

Psa 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD: [that] the nations may know themselves [to be but] men. Selah.

The fate of the wicked and that of the righteous is not the same fate. We can rejoice in the God of our salvation, seeing that deliverance has come to our dwellings and not ONE HAIR of our head shall perish from the swift destruction of the wicked.

Meanwhile, I will life today to its fullest extent and might even put some money in XOM, possibly in P&G. If anyone is interested, SA would be a good place to put some as is TXN and C too.
