Absolutely, Pianoman...that's what hermoneutics is all about. Understanding when, where, to whom, and the purpose the passage was written.

This is a fascinating subject because it brings to mind something I have wondered...... Is Gods "Word" the bible or is Gods Word literally HIS Word. Meaning, what He speaks, such as when he spoke the Universe into existence.
After all, the world COULD be filled with books on things Jesus said and did, yet we only have a couple of relatively short books.

I'm not sure that I believe spirituality has gotten weaker through the centuries. I believe there are men and women today that could and would write, or do extraordinary things if God inspired them so.
I was afraid that my post would be understood like that and I didn't mean it like that and like you, I believe there are men and women today that could and do write God inspired words.

However, you want to believe the men that actually saw Jesus, the miracles, etc. were different somehow, but we do know differently - - Peter proved he was just as human as anyone when he denied Jesus even after seeing, hearing and walking next to HIM.

I'm just thinking outloud like you - - lol!

So there's proof that God is Jesus and Jesus is God.......

God spoke in black ink in the OT and after Jesus was born red ink was discovered!!!

Oh wait, does that prove that there are two? And all along those trinnies have been saying there are three.
