Re: Interpreting tongues

Am I really to believe that none of you fellow Apostolic prayer warriors out here can explain the edification that takes place when one speaks in tongues?

No one can elaborate on the mechanics of this, or share their thoughts and/or experience with it?

C'mon guys. lol

How did the blood of bulls and goats, actually, take away sins in the OT? How does the blood of Jesus Christ, actually, take away our sins?

It does because He says it does. We operate in the Spirit, because He allows it.

You aren't going to get psychological with God. It is a work of faith - period.

Re: Interpreting tongues

First, I would like to express my sincerest apologies. You really annoy me at times. However, if I was in your state I would want someone like myself to extend mercy, and pray for me.

I am not sure that I will not jump on the stone Chris the stoner with stones bandwagon again, as I justify my behavior on AFF; I blame my actions on several maladies that I suffer with and from. Hypertension, hypo and hyperglycemia, hyperbole, and mad cow disease.

So, please accept my apology. Yea, and Amen.

Now back to your post. I’ll make it short as I do not have a lengthy explanation. I have been edified in two ways that I recall if my recollection is recalled correctly.

1) I know and feel that I have received victory over a battle , authorative sounding and somewhat loud glossolalia, sometimes accompanied by contractions in my innermost being. My voice at these moments is deep and strong. It is my real voice that I rarely use. As I speak from my throat most of the time.

AND

2) Only what I can describe as rivers of living water flowing out of my belly. Overwhelmed with peace and joy.

So, we're told it edifies. That's true.

But no one can illustrate how it edifies? No one can share their experience with it edifying them?

it is hard to put some things into words, when I pray in the Spirit everyday, my spirit is stronger, tender, sensitive, and in tune with my creator.
