with jesus there are no secerts. why would I desire to live a lie. when there are no secrets. why would I accept allah, buddha as other ways to heaven.

The term "Secret Society" is not a term that should be used for the Masons or Free Masons, IMO. The reasons for me saying that are, first, people know they exist so they aren't a secret; second, their rules aren't as anti-christ as one might think. My father used to go to a Mason lodge, but stopped going when he married my mother and just didn't have the time. He said there weren't anything he ever heard that made them be anti-christic. There is a mythical belief about these types of groups that aren't that accurate. Now, I am not always right, but I am speaking from my father's accounts. Things that are "secret" aren't always a bad thing. At one time, and still in other countries, the church held services in secret...as a society, are they bad?

I have read about this. It was a different time and place back then, speaking of America. Joseph Smith was also murdered by other Christians for being a Mormon. That doesn't mean that either the Mormons or Christians were right - yes? Revealing secrets to a, then, secret society, was a bad thing. But now-a-days, people that are FM can get license plates with the Mason sign on it and decals for their cars, I have seen them more often than I would have expected. If someone is skeptical of the FM belief system or the bit of secrecy they hold then don't join them. I wouldn't join many churches now because of the same thing. I am just being honest.

The reason they're called a secret society is because their inner functions and dealings are just that....secret. It doesn't mean they can't have a public presence or be known to exist.
