You might as well have said that KO sees blue when he looks skyward on a clear day.

What is shocking to me is that NBC has decided they have "standards" all the sudden.

bottom line here is NBC has decided that getting rid of KO is good for business.
We have a winner. That ugly network discovered the majority in America is conservative. Conservatives don't watch liberal garbage. Over 600 Republicans were added to state legislatures and 600 less Dems. MSNBC discovered if they allowed less grotesque commentary, they may one day get some of FoX' audience.

I don't like Olberman's style at all.

Still for him to be suspended because he gave his own money to a political candidate whose views he supported seems like his own rights are being infringed upon.

I see this as another assault on freedom, despite how it is dressed up.
evidently the difference was Fox guys are open and honest.

KO was blasting foxnews for giving to the republicans all the while he was doing the same.

Now I have already said, i dont think KO did a single thing wrong with his giving to the candidates of his choice. I dont even have an issue with the apparent hypocrisy. its no different from all the other forms of hypocrisy Mr KO dishes out every day...

but this wasnt about the money anyway. it was about NBC having reached a decision that suspending KO was good for business.

"Suspended"? Looks like a publicity stunt to me.

Re: MSNBC Fires Keith Olberman!

Is this a good time to talk about campaign finance reform in general?

Can you say, "... all the while..."

Didn't he blast them BEFORE he evidently decided that maybe he should do what they do instead of criticizing them?

The campaigns he donated to are recent.

His criticisms of Fox are of old.

One of the recipients of his large donations is a Marxist socialist congress buddy of yours named Conyers.

Pressing-On, I agree with you.

None of this made sense until last night on Facebook when several of my liberal friends started posting a link praising NBC for doing what Fox News would never do. Several Fox folks contribute to conservative candidates and Fox does nothing about it.

Now, you people know that I am NOT a Conservative apologist, but I know Hogwash when I see it. I'd be willing to bet this was pre-arranged and Olbermann knew it was coming in advance and is simply taking a vacation.

Re: MSNBC Fires Keith Olberman!

Nothing wrong with him donating ? except he signed a contract (7 mil. per year) which had language in it saying he couldnt, so he got what stupids should get.

I'm willing to bet a hundred dollars that's not what you really wanted to say.
