I knew that...but I've never known the police to actually enforce it. In fact I see them make turns all the time without signaling
You could always lie and say "I have a funny signal light, sometimes it works and some times it does not...I think there is a short?" and maybe the cop will just give you a fix it ticket

I told my son the name of the one guy that knew. He said, "Mother, he drives a truck. He has to know that."
Anyway, the other people were serious. They didn't know and they were grown men! I didn't expect the women to know, but grown men?!!!

I knew, because I've been pulled over for it, too. (I didn't get a ticket-if I remember right the bulb had burned out so they gave me a warning and told me to change the bulb.)
