I am going to entertain you only to slay you in the arena of ideas...
Which part of the voting record do you think disqualifies her from addressing the GC crowd?
Also, if you could ... if this conference had been held in New York City... would it be okay to invite mayor Mike Bloomberg to address the crowd ... or even former mayor, Rudy Giuliani. Your reasons please.
Also for the record, your false dilemma ... in which the UPCI is claiming to be a "conservative" org is of interest.
Although to many of us here and most of America, the perception might be just that ... but keep in mind that the cons in the org left in 2007 ... Bernard was the choice of and darling of moderates in the org .... and he has made intentional strides to portray the org as a progressive Apostolic group. Also a distinction between conservative religiously and politically is germane as well as economically and socially.
This term "progressive Apostolic" is evident in conference literature while STX Supt. ... his moderate stance on the TV issue as evident in his letters ... and even his message on Thursday where he called for innovative methods of evangelism.
Bernard is no freaky con ... yes, he holds to traditional PAJC values ... but is very much a "renaissance" man in his circles.
