Dirtypants Keith nails nothing. at best he states the obvious.
he might as well have gotten up and ranted about the sky being blue. iraq has muslims. gee thats interesting. I never thought about that. NOT.
The only way dritypants could have a lucid moment would be to mix lortab and booze while shooting herion.
The issue isnt at all about muslims wanting a mosque. The issue is about an imam who is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood who wants to make America "Sharia compliant"
THAT is the issue.

Does anyone think that it is insensitive to build the mosque anywhere near ground zero? Does anyone think this is an assertive provocative move by the muslim community? Why does it have to be there? Isn't there another place in Manhattan where the "community center" could be built?
In my opinion, if they are given permission to build the mosque, it should require that an Arabic gay bar and a Jehovah's Witness proselyting center to be attached. After all, the sensitivities of neighbors is apparently not an issue here. Provocation is matched with provocation. That's the American way! ha!
Someone mentioned that there are four adult clubs near ground zero too! Well....if 3,000+ people had been killed by adult club patrons on 9/11, I would be against allowing an "adult club community center" close to ground zero!
If radical Apostolics had bombed the towers, I would not only raise my voice against them, but loudly proclaim that a new home missions Apostolic church not be built nearby!

I watched the video. It is no wonder that nightly Olbermann draws a few hundred thousand viewers on MSNBC while Bill O'Reilly draws millions on Fox. NBC would be smart AND competitive if they would give KO the pink slip and hire someone who draws more than the TV equivalent of a street preacher.

When a newspaper posed the question, "What's Wrong with the World?" G. K. Chesterton reputedly wrote a brief letter in response: "Dear Sirs: I am. Sincerely Yours, G. K. Chesterton." That is the attitude of someone who has grasped the message of Jesus.

Insensitivity and Provocativness have little to do with it , its a fact that the Muslims always build a mosque worship center at the "scenes of their greatest triumphs"

Of course market-based broadcasted has given us an age of Infotainment, shock jocks and people that speak to our lowest common denominator. What sells airs. Not always the best principle when deciding on journalism.
I find KO entertaining. He gets under people's skin because he's a hot-tongued liberal who articulates an opposing view. I disagree with him about 9 times out of 10 (at least his conclusions). Sometimes his logic is tricky. He's good for ratings though too. They wouldn't air him if there were no ratings. Doesn't mean he's dominating the market, but he's got his niche market. It's all a money game in the end.
I don't find any of the conservative broadcaster's perspectives particularly refreshing: O'Reilly, Hannity, Cavuto, etc... I may end up agreeing with many of their conclusions, but their mentality and logic are horrible sometimes. And to come to a conclusion, sometimes they sacrifice other truths that I staunchly disagree with them on.
I wouldn't mind broadcasting to be similar to a college professor -- articulate, probing, etc But that would never sell. So I watch it for what it is. A little here and little there.

You really think that nails it? You really think THAT answers the question of building a Mosque so close to 9/11 or addresses the Imam involved? KO resorts to a classic red herring argument
It goes "Should we allow Muslims to build so close to ground zero?"
"Well the real reason we went into Iraq was blah blah blah....and that's why we should allow them to build that close to ground zero"....that nails it? HAHAHA
This is why I never watch KO. KO's argument might as well have been "Warm fronts and cold depressions? The real reason Katrina happened was Bush. Bush killed Muslims. Therefore it Muslims should be allowed to build a mosque near ground zero"...it just doesn't make sense. There is nothing in what KO said that was a good reason for letting that Imam build his mosque there
