Re: What about the year 2012?

2012?

Heb. 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

If 2000 years isn't considered "tarrying", I'm not sure what is.

Heb. 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

...and it was even considered "the end of the world" 2000 years ago (KJV)

things that make ya go hmmmm - LOL

There. I've gone on record.

God would not use human sacrificing pagans to foretell the world's end or age's end, whatever, and leave His own people in the dark about it in His Word.
Right, that what I was telling my wife last week. But the funny (really not) thing is that I first heard about 2012 about a year ago from a co-worker who watched Jack Van Impe. Talk about losing credibility (then again did JVI have any cred left-I didn't know anyone watched his show.)

Re: What about the year 2012?

I saw a documentary from the library and they said Nostradamus alluded to 2012 a lot.
He also read tea leaves and did water witching I believe.

Don't forget to buy barrels of beans like the folks did for Y2K now.

It is a movie folks, let's not let fantasy confuse us with reality!!!! Don't go buy generators and stock up on dry food and bottled water, of course some of you may still have these things from Y2K. Well, hang on to them and you can still have them in 2012 and the 2030 etc, etc, etc......!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with stocking up on a few extra non perishable foods & bottled water. Especially when you live in the frozen north, tornado or hurricane prone areas. We've just never gone overboard with that type of thing. I never stocked a thing for Y2K-- just didn't feel led to do so. I don't still have dry beans from 2000. LOL

I know a person from another forum though that STILL has a large supply of toilet paper they stocked up on prior to Y2K.

I have some things stocked now, because I feel this is going to be a bad winter for our area, involving ice-- and I know what happens in this area when we get ice. The last "ice storm" left us without electricity for two weeks. I'd have loved to have owned a generator at that time. There is one that several families share ownership of. When things like that happen--all the neighborhood pitches in for fuel and the generator gets carried around in the back of a truck from house to house to keep people's freezers charged up so that food isn't lost.

Why not stock up on dry food, bottle water etc. I think there is reason enough to do that without any prophecies about 2012. We're headed a bad direction in this country right now.
