I think if God moves on someone to worship by dancing or shouting or rolling in the aisles even...they should do it. But I doubt God cares about this as much as we do.

My question is: Why do we wait until "God moves on us" to worship.? Shouldn't we be able to dance or shout about God's greatness without Him having to rile us up? If I never feel the "Glory Bumps" again, I should still be able to sing, dance, shout, cry, or whatever in expression of my love and devotion to Him.

Yes they should do it. But, if God moves on someone to dance, shout, roll, run, whatever....God cares what we are doing. He cares at all times. Why would He stop caring if we decided to shout? There is always a reason that He moves on us. Not just so we will shout. We bring Glory to Him when we praise....He will tell you that when you worship. You will feel Him smiling.

This is exactly the problem: too may people get worship confused with praise. Both are essential but they are not interchangeable. All that dancing and shouting you mentioned would be elements of praise. The purpose of praise is to glorify God. Praise is NOT for the purpose of God speaking to us or any other such thing. Worship, on the other hand, involves humbling and prostrating oneself before God(prostrating more in a spiritual sense than physical). It is in worship that we just shut our mouths and listen to what God has to say to us. If either praise or worship has to be manufactured, induced, etc. through what others do (such as through the volume/speed/style of music and preaching), then it is not genuine, it is a cheap imitation.

What's interesting is that praise and worship are both about God and not about us.

Maybe I did not make myself clear. That is what I was trying to say. If you are dancing to worship save the time and use the dancing for praise. But each person is different. There are people that do both fall face down and dance and they call it both worship. Worship is a lifestyle, praise is what we do.
