2005 was our last census in Canada & while I have no problem in having them count how many citizens are in this country I feel they go to far in the questions they ask.
I wasn't so easy to get a hold of so imagine my surprise when along the side of the house by our kitchen I saw a woman knocking on the window.
I met her at the door & while she sensed my reluctance to give to much information in regards to a basic census, she responded in the fact that she got so much an hour & so much per name (person) counted & the rest she could care less.
She put our names down as Mr & Mrs John & Mary Smith, we gave our ages, she asked how many kids, & I said 3 & I told them thier ages & she gave them names of Bobby, Betty, & Susan.
I would not answer how much I made personally, I did venture a "range" of household income.
She didn't care & in a way was sympathetic to me.
I mean come on, they ask "Do you have an indoor toilet? How many bathrooms do you have"
What kind of food do you eat?"
These are all questions on the long form.
They are none of thier business!
My libertarian side is shining through!
