Re: Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh
Obama knows Limbaugh will hold his feet to the fire, so he doesn't want people listening to him.
To Obama I'd say: Just do your job, sir. This is the big leagues now. If you cant stand the heat, you shouldnt have been in the kitchen in the first place. A president shouldnt be all that concerned about what some radio talk show host has to say anyway.

You're right.
As much as Rush slammed the Clintons, I don't think I ever heard or read where Bill even acknowledged him. Hiliary maybe, but not Bill.

"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president's proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don't owe federal income taxes.

As Rush pointed out on hi show this last week, this is coming from the same group of people who told us when Bush 43 was in office that dissent was patriotic. Now that Bush is out, they want us all to drink the same Kool-Aid.
BTW, when Obama leaves The White House in 4 years, I hope GOPer's will show show Obama just as much disrect and cat calls (if not more) as the Dem's did to Bush 43 at Obama's "immaculation."

When I was in the US Navy Reserves and drillled once a month at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA, there was a huge group of sailors from the Air Station who went down to New Orleans to help out the victims of Katrina. When they tried, the N.O. residents all said "Forget it (their words were a little more course than that), I'm waiting on the Government for help."
How sad.

I totally disagree.
We dont have to stoop to their level.
If democrats/leftists want to operate down there in the gutter, then let them. But we can still take the high road.

You're so right. Obama has much more important things to do than to worry about what Rush is saying.

Re: Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh
I like Rush even though I don't get to listen to him much, agree with most of what he says. What's really ironic about this whole deal is that just by mentioning his name Obama gives Rush even more publicity and I think credibility.
And you think Rush isn't overjoyed anytime Obama throws his name about. He loves it. He knows that publicity is priceless. When you know the Presisdent is listening to "YOU" hey...that's saying something.

Why is everybody so up in arms about giving money to people who don't pay taxes? That's been going on for years! It's nothing new! Earned income tax credits and the like aren't new! Obama didn't invent those. They've been around since the Reagan years.
It's a good idea to give poor people help. It's good Bible sense and it's good economic sense because unlike fat cat banks and rich people who put the money under their pillow (so to speak) the poor people can't afford to save it and thus will actually spend the money almost immediately, which helps create economic activity, which is what the economy needs right now.
As for socialism, under whose administration did the recent trend toward this so-called 'socialism' begin? I believe the man is in Crawford, TX right now. He and Paulson gave billions away in corporate welfare and began the process of nationalizing the banking industry. If I read Amos correctly, this isn't a righteous policy.
He's right, people should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. He and his type (on both sides of the issues) are bad for the process as they agitate, distort, and create wedge issues that divide people rather than help people come to a reasonable consensus.
|
The STIMULUS package. The issue is not giving them welfare but giving them part of the Stimulus package.
If he is right then he should be even and say stop watching CNN and other left leaning media types.
They are bad...sounds like something you might hear in a communist nation. Don't listen to dissenters...control the media...if Bush could have controlled the media his ratings would be higher and maybe McCain would have won

The poor is being helped already
