Re: My Dad's in the hospital in St. Louis!
Sherri, I am praying for your dad, too.
And RevDWW, I've added you to my list as well. It's very hard to lose someone you love. The holiday season is wonderful, but it does seem to make us realize even more acutely just how much we miss our loved ones, doesn't it?!

Re: My Dad's in the hospital in St. Louis!
We will be praying for you dad and mom Sheri. It is hard to watch them grow old, I know. My mom is now 82 and I worry ever winter that if she gets sick it could be her last year.

At least that's what they've said in the past. Today they are checking his heart for strange rhythms. His blood pressure is back up some, but not where it should be after lying still for hours and pumping in 2-1/2 bags of fluids.
He has passed out in Orlando, Maui, my brother's church in St. Louis, various and sundry restaurants, my guest bathroom, his own bathroom, and several other places I can't think of right off the bat. He has only hurt himself once when he fell, and that was minor. But it's getting kind of scary; he could keel over anywhere. Also pray for my mom; this is hard on her; she's afraid to leave him alone.

Praying here, Sherri.

Praying for your dad. My mom is now in a rehab hospital and is doing better- It is so hard to watch them age- and it seems even harder at this time of year. God is our strength and our refuge.
