Re: False Brethren in our ranks w/ another gospel?
Define "our ranks" in the context of a thread started by DA please...

Do they preach another gospel?
Their gospel is guilt.
Their gospel is shame.
Their gospel is condemnation.
Their gospel is exclusion.
Their gospel is humanism, robed in the cloak of spirituality.

Exactly, Paul upbraided them for returning to the Old Testament Law as a means of salvation.
BUT............
Is repentance OT Law?
Is water baptism OT Law?
are these not works of faith and obedience to a new testament covenant, with a resulting of Gods gift of the Holy Ghost?

I see the logical sunset in view. It is only a matter of time that you will be calling those that believe it takes the fulfillment of Acts 2:38 to be saved "False Brethren". The implication is very clear in this thread.
I guess at least we are still being called "Brethren".

5We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.
6As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance—those men added nothing to my message
You know very well he was speaking of those men who were Torah and Sabbath fantatics..... had nothing to do with Holiness.... this was the argument of their day.. Moses Law of NT Law
