Viva's was very good, so was Max's for desert, sometime we need to go back and have the Reuben Sandwich, it's one of best that I have eaten.
The Indian Rest. is in the Valley, owned by some Sikns, very, very good. Jeanie begs to go there at least once a week.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights. It is a time, similar in ways, to our Christmas. They indulge and buy gifts like crazy, idols are set out all over the place and parties and fireworks are going on all the time. It is hard to sleep during that time. When I was there last, I was in Kolkata and went to the Ganges to see people throwing their idols into the river...quite a scene...the utter depravity.
I will be leaving for Korea on the 25th, so we can keep each other in prayer!!

I think I have seen this festival on one of the travel channels.
When I went last Jan. the famous Kite Festival was happening. Thousands of kites flying in the sky.
The locals put glass dust on them so they can cut their neighbors kites down. They have it down to a science. Sad part is many people are killed and injured as a result, kids leave their kites hanging over trees and power lines and people on bikes and motor scooters run into them, ooch!

Keith, can you send me some pictures of the work in India and your visit? I would love to show our people another mission field. Sherri sent us some pictures of Africa and our people never forget to pray for Africa. Thanks.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Kite Festival.
One is local children flying kites in a Moslem Graveyard, the view is from the Conference site.
The other is in a local city, if you look closely you can see all the kites in the air.

I am having 3 Indian suits made!
I picked up one of them yesterday!
I'll post a picture later--I am probably alone, but I love the way Indian women dress! It' so feminine!
