I would be in favor of putting the blood of Jesus back into worship, including our singing with much less chanting.

So you're saying that there was new chanting in the tabernacle on Wednesday nite.
Did the "chanting" continue last nite?

I am in a hotel lobby that has a computer so here is my take. I said the same thing about frogie imitating frogie and Elder Strange & Keith both were offended and I labeled anti-gifts. This foolishness is wide spread among Pentecost because they have left sound teaching and preaching for every new trend from the Charismatics that is nothing more than revamped latter junk we rejected 50 years ago. NO one wants to play rythem guitar behind Jesus everyone wants to be the lead singer in the band. Gift of suspiction and imagination plus a gift of gab thrown in for good measure. I wonder how many fornicators or adulterers were called out?

Which has me somewhat puzzeled, if not perplexed. I wonder if love has failed us? Maybe we have left our first love which, indeed would account for some of our loss of direction, increased worldliness and some of this weird chanting music in our midst. How desperately we need to be broken, put back on the potters wheel and made over again. Hardness of heart that comes from the lack of rebuke has molded us in our own image.
I went to the temple to see our God. Lo! The image set up in the house of God was the idol of SELF!

By the way, MB is in his 40's and has been in the ministry for me over 20 years. do you call that a novice? I sure hope we don't have to be 67 to be mature enough to be used of God. Bro., I am going to church and don't know when I will be back on line, but you are dead wrong about your statements about MB. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

We are not matured in office or gift by chronology. We are matured by love by which all offices and gifts are operated. Self and egotism has no place...no room...no account in divine practices. Jeff had it right last night. We need a renewing of the mind. I might even suggest we might first need to GET THE MIND of Christ before it can even be renewed.
But, stick to your story. My objection was not so much of the symptom but of the cause. The law of cause and effect is alive in the spirit world too. The symptoms are the result of the causes. I only saw the symptoms manifested in the spiritual environment Wed. night. It gave rise to my concerns in regard to the cause. Where are we? Have we lost our way? Will the message by Jeff take root and have affect? At least I was encouraged last night. I wonder how long my encouragement will last.
Every movement that began in the Holy Ghost has lost its way throughout history. Will our modern day Apostolic movement defy history? Is my alarm unjustified? Where are the true Prophets that will bring the rebuke and correction with all long suffering and doctrine, by Office...speaking mouth-to-mouth? When I see prophets, though truly prophets, speak peace when there is NO peace, safety where there is NO safety, properity when there is plague and death, I know that Prophet, though a Prophet of the Lord speaks by a lie, the spirit of error. That Prophet has been seduced by a wicked spirit. This often happens when political considerations are involved, love of self is involved, or any other concern of worldly, material considerations are involved.
I have probably talked about this enough. I see that I have confused more people here than I would have wanted to, judging by their questions.

If JA was encouraging then you might be delusional yourself?

Elder, I understand and appreciate what you are saying. But, I am old enough to remember very well the operating and movements of the Holy Ghost in both offices and giftings before the Latter Rain and especially before it was rejected by both the AOG and the UPCI by official resolutions.
My understanding of those things do not have its roots in Latter Rain but predates the Latter Rain. The Latter Rain almost ruined by excesses, the real. Thank God the real has weathered the storm of Latter Rain. It will weather the storm of backlash from the Latter Rain too, including the great reactionary unbelief that it has suffered.
It seems that the Latter Rain still has a lingering affect on modern day Apostolic movement though only as a negative reaction to it. I remember Orlin Ray said of his father, Oliver Fauss, who would not even allow tongues and interpretation in his church after witnessing the excesses in the Latter Rain. Thus, the LR has had its influences in the opposite direction.
Thank God the balance that I have was given to me before Latter Rain had its affect ONE way or the OTHER way.

Is it me or do some in Pentecost claim to believe in the gifts of the Spirit ... but only believe them to be authentic when they operate from their own personal circle???

Some folks get a feeling of superiority and that they cannot be wrong. Everything they believe is spot-on, and there is chance for error in what they believe --- ...in their own minds.
Where are words of humility?
Always remember, by their fruit ye shall know them. A lot of this is jealousy for not being in the lime light. That, in itself, is also a "same old same old." Heard THAT a lot as well.
