So, if there is only one chapter set aside for a topic we are to take our magical scissors and cut them out of the word of God? Amazing...

Ah...so using the typical liberal intellectual dishonest reasoning we might conclude "You don't need to repent, you just need the blood"....often heard in other forms like "All you need is Jesus, he is the truth" or "all you need is faith, you don't need anything else" or "All you need is faith in Jesus, not faith in baptism"

The level of intellectual dishonesty among people claiming to be Apostolic is sad and lowers to the level of extreme liberal democrats who label anyone a republican as a racist

so? Daniel, do you go through your bible...God's Holy Word...and eliminate and discount every verse that singularly supports someone elses view than yours? Your bible must look like Jeffersons...

Hey, the bible says baptism saves us. It also says confession saves us and faith saves us...why not figure our rather HOW than to eliminate a few of those choices to support a presupposition?

Why not accept ALL of what the word says rather than deciding it can't all be true and eliminating some...

Baptismal regeneration means a person is saved AT baptism and by being filled with the Holy Spirit. That is what it means and that is what the Catholics believe. Not one person here has suggested that a person is saved AT baptism and receives the Holy Ghost through that rite.

The Amplified
Col 2:11 In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts).
Col 2:12 [Thus [7] you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [[8] to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [[9] as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions,
Col 2:14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared [10] completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.

LITV
Col 2:11 in whom also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made by hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
Col 2:12 being buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him from among the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in the deviations and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all the deviations,
Col 2:14 blotting out the handwriting in the ordinances against us, which was contrary to us, even He has taken it out of the midst, nailing it to the cross;

ISV
Col 2:11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without human hands by stripping off the corrupt nature in the circumcision performed by Christ.
Col 2:12 When you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 Even when you were dead because of your offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with him when he forgave us all of our offenses,
Col 2:14 having erased the charges that were brought against us with their decrees that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross.

KJV
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Learn what it means and then we'll talk ... it deals with with salvation and being born again ... not filled w/ the Spirit ...
